This font was created inspired from an unreadable French solicitor’s document dated 1619, written in the special style so named “Civilité expédiée”, a quick dashed hand derived from the more formal “Civilitee” and under the influence of the blackletter style.
We have worked to transform the absolutely illegible original form into a contemporary more usable typeface, but attempting to keep as closely as possible the time appearance and particularities, like the special small e and h, or the R. It is containing Western (including Celtic) and Northern European, Icelandic, Baltic, Eastern, Central European and Turkish diacritics.
The numerous alternates and ligatures made the font looking like a real various hand.
