Avenir Next Pro is the revamp of Adrian Frutiger\’s well known Avenir sans serif type family. In 2004, Adrian Frutiger changed the text style family in collaboration with Linotype in-house textual style planner Akira Kobayashi to modify the typeface for the utilization on screens. The textual style family was expanded to an aggregate of 24 text styles (6 loads including roman and italic styles, both in 2 widths: typical and dense). Avenir Next Pro has an extended glyph set to incorporate old style figures, subscripts and superscripts, little tops, and a few ligatures.
