Bridging Eastern European with Futuristic Modernism, Cobalt 27 pays homage to the 1920\’s and 30\’s typefaces of the constructivist movement. Glyph ascenders and descenders are lengthened to create characters akin to a condensed font, allowing for more letters per line without loss of readability. Shoulders have been narrower to create optically visually same widths across all glyphs.
How to use Cobalt 27
BOLD – designed for primary headers, display or larger applications.
MEDIUM – to be used as in place of Bold when a lighter version is needed, or a secondary header when combined with other weights.
REGULAR – Can be applied to all applications – mainly designed for lighter weight body and header treatments.
TEXT – similar to Regular but with shorter ascenders and descenders where shorter leading is required.
