In order to use a beautiful swash, you need a program that supports OpenType features like Adobe Illustrator CS, Adobe Photoshop CC, Adobe Indesign and Corel Draw.

Photoshop CC and higher have a glyph panel where you can access swash & alternates. Select a font and go to the Glyphs Window and double click on the glyph that you want to use.
For Illustrator choose Glyph Type or Window Type & Table Glyphs.
